National Occupational Classification and The Working in Canada Tool
The NOC system is a framework used to help Canadians understand the approximately 80,000 occupational titles that represent the jobs in Canada’s labour market. Each job (or occupational title) is characterized by a four-digit code that defines the broad occupational area and the type and level of skill required for a particular job.The Working in Canada Tool allows you to obtain a detailed labour market report based on your occupation (containing job duties, skill requirements, wage rates, etc.) for a chosen location in Canada.
